Equipment for Making Lemon Pepper Wings at Home
Ingredients:
- 1 1โ2 pounds Chicken wings
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning (*see note)
- 1 1โ2 tbsp Lemon zest
- 1 clove Garlic (minced, or half teaspoon garlic powder)
- Kosher Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 3 tbsp Melted butter
- 1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
- Parsley (chopped and fresh, for garnish, optional)
For Oven Method Only
- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 1 tbsp All-purpose flour
Instructions:
- Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
Oven Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425ยฐF.
- Toss wings with flour and baking powder. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes.
- Toss wings with olive oil, lemon pepper, lemon zest, and garlic.
- Line a pan with foil and top with a baking rack. Spray the rack with cooking spray.
- Bake wings for 20 minutes; flip and bake an additional 15 minutes or until crisp. Broil 1 minute per side, if desired.
- Combine butter and lemon juice and toss with wings. Generously season with extra pepper, salt to taste, and fresh thyme if desired. Serve immediately.
Air Fryer Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400ยฐF.
- Toss wings with olive oil, lemon pepper, lemon zest, and garlic.
- Place wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook 10 minutes.
- Flip wings and cook an additional 10 minutes or until crispy.
- Combine butter and lemon juice and toss with wings. Generously season with extra pepper, salt to taste, and fresh thyme if desired. Serve immediately.
Note:
- Some brands of lemon pepper can be excessively salty. Before seasoning the chicken, taste the lemon pepper and reduce the salt if much.
