This hot honey recipe is simple to make with honey and fresh or dried chilies, and it will take so many recipes to the next level. Its sweet-and-spicy combination is on point and utterly irresistable on a sandwich, over pizza, or as a dipping sauce.
Equipment for Make hot honey at Home
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Honey
- 1 tbsp Chilli flakes (to taste)
- 1 tbsp Hot sauce
- 3 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- In a medium-sized pot on medium-low heat, add the first three ingredients and stir everything. Be sure not to let the mixture boil; it should only gently simmer.
- We want the chilli to infuse and release the heat, so please do not boil it or take your eyes off of it. Let it gently simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, then take it off the heat.
- Stir in the apple cider vinegar and let it cool. Keep it in a mason jar or other jar in your pantry. This never lasts long in my house because we go through it fairly quickly, but it should last you for months. Enjoy!
