- 1 large Egg (beaten)
- 1โ2 cup Plain breadcrumbs
- 1โ4 cup Whole milk
- 1โ4 cup Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1โ2 tbsp Garlic powder

- 1โ4 cup Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Yellow mustard (OR dijon mustard)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF and spray a 9ร5 loaf pan with cooking spray. Or you can line a baking sheet with parchment paper or tin foil (spray the foil). Set aside.ย
- Add crumbled ground beef to the meatloaf mixture. Lipton onion soup In a large bowl, combine the contents of the beaten egg, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and pepper.ย
- Press the meatloaf into the prepared loaf pan, or shape it into an oval loaf shape on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard to make the sweet ketchup topping. Spread the glaze evenly over the meat loaf.ย
- Bake for 1 hourย or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 165โ.
- Remove from the oven andย let the meatloaf rest for 5-8 minutesย before slicing and serving it.
Note:
- Use Foil:ย Loosely lay a piece of aluminium foil over the meatloaf for the final 15 minutes or so if the top is getting too dark towards the end of the bake time. You might want to spray the side of the foil that touches the meatloaf with cooking spray to ensure that the sweet ketchup glaze does not stick to it.ย
- Loaf Shape:ย For this classic recipe, you can either use a large loaf pan (9×5) or shape the meatloaf into an oval loaf shape on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper (preferred) or foil (spray the foil first with cooking spray). Alternatively, you can purchase a meatloaf pan and use it, as it features a pull-out loaf pan that allows the excess grease to drain into the bottom pan during baking. I personally donโt love using meatloaf pans because I think you lose a lot of the flavour while baking. However, if desired, it is an option.
